Architectural design II mainly allows us students to explore and learn about site context & analysis, at the same time explore various ambitious designs with the multiple material finishes & designs components.
This module gives us a deeper understanding of each component in a building, specific terminology of each parts of a building, and the amount of layers behind walls and columns as well as legal terminology like fire escape, minimum thickness of floorings and such.
In this module, we learnt the different architectural facades across the history of Malaysian's architectural facades, understood the importance of macro and micro study of each street as well as the application of adaptive reuse in Malaysia.
