BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (HONOURS) IN ARCHITECTURE
DESIGN PROCESS
Architectural Design I A01
PROGRESS
We started the assignment by completing various tattoo stamps (part I & II) with the design intention of point & lines which will be carried out throughout the assignment. The drawings you see are modified & improved after being reviewed.
We then moved on the Part III which we delegated the task to one another so that each person can focus on one to two compositions and design principles. The teamwork shown was satisfactory as everyone tried to help when someone is dealing with overwhelming tasks as some drawings were rejected and others accepted, creating a form of imbalance of workload.
For Part IV and the rest, we had to gather at a groupmates home to complete to models as we needed to have similar designs so that every part of our project is coherent and has a progression. The models you see are improvised or anew as our initial models were rejected as well.
REFLECTION
Overall, the project for me is frustrating at first as I got rejected multiple times for my drawings & models, but of course I had to do that because the quality wasn't satisfactory and it was my fault. Yes, it was tiring and draining, not to mention expensive but I definitely learnt the importance of designing with a clear intention, coherence of drawings & models as well as methods to create a tattoo stamp using design elements & principles.
